Nitrates and phophates are the most likely to create eutrophic areas. Eutrophication is when the water bodies becomes overly enriched with minerals and nutrients that induce excessive growth of plants and algae. Eutrophication is mostly induced by the discharge of nitrates or phosphate-containing detergents, fertilizers, or sewage into a water body.
