Explain what happens to the pitch of a cell phone ring when the wavelength of a sound wave increases. Justify your reasoning using complete sentences and key vocabulary.
As the wavelength increases, the pitch becomes lower. This is because as the wavelength increases, the frequency decreases (wavelength and frequency are inversely proportional) hence the pitch becomes lower.
