The democratic political leaders that dominated Georgia
after the reconstruction were called the bourbon triumvirate. This is being
referred to the Georgia’s three prominent politician and also the most
powerful.
The person responsible for fighting for the sake of helping
the farmers that are suffering economically during the 1890’s was Tom Watson.
He was a politician, attorney and even a writer who has championed the poor
farmers by having to be the leader of the populist party.
