A spider twirls a fruit fly around in a circle with radius 17.6 cm at the end of a web. If the velocity of the fly is 110 cm/s, what is the centripetal acceleration of the fly? m/s2.

Respuesta :

Centripetal acceleration is the rate of change of tangential velocity

Give: Radius r = 17.6 cm;   Velocity  V = 110 cm/s

Formula:  Centripetal acceleration  ac = V²/r

ac = (110 cm/s)²/17.6 cm

ac = 687.5 cm/s²
