A 15kg penguin slips on a wet rock (rip I hope he's okay). The coefficient of friction between the penguin and the rock is .250. What frictional force impedes the penguins motion? I NEED THE EQUATION AND THE SOLUTION PLEASE

Respuesta :

That poor penguin :( so frictional force = coefficient*normal force. 15*9.8=147=normal force so 147*0.25=36.75=frictional force. And I'm pretty sure you would use the static coefficient as the question doesn't say the the penguin is already slipping, he slips (assuming he has just taken a step).
