Assuming the circle is inscribed in the square, the length of the side of the square is also the diameter of a circle. The area of the square is 6 x 6 or 36in²
For the circle A=π r ² In this case A = π 3² (Since the diameter is 6 the radius is half of that, or 3) A = π 9 ≈ 28.26 in ²
36 in² - 28.26in² = 7.74 in² - area of the square not covered by the circle
