Rationalising the denominator is what I would do (figure may imply differently) if x= 9/root 3, then times both the denominator and numerator by Root3, leaving 9*root3/Root3*Root3
This cancels down into 9*Root3/3 because a root*root of the same number= that number
9 times Root 3 all over 3
