a fallacy is an error in reasoning. suppose allen had included this sentence in his editorial: anyone who wants to throw flag burners in jail is obviously not a supporter of the constitution. in what way is this statement a fallacy? what would have been the effect of this sentence on allen's argument?

It would have been a fallacy because it would contradict what is being said and argued by Allen in his editorial. Overall, it would have weakened his argument because he would be biased against those who believe in their own opinion and want to do something versus them actually committing the action.
