I believe the correct answer would be B. This is correct because words can cause emotions to be evoked. For example:
(1) The house is quite smelly.
(2) The house is quite fragrant.
Number one has negative connotation because when a person thinks of smelly they think of something that smells bad. On the other hand, when you hear fragrant you might think of a nice smelling perfume.
