Gideon V. Wainwright is a landmark case because the ruling has allowed those who are poor that cant afford a proper laywer, to still get one provided by the state. It's allowed those that are poor and uneducated to defend themselves properly by someone who is eductated. Allowing them to be put through the court in an equal way to everyone else.
