The slope is just the number following the x value in y = mx + b. Subtract 6x from both sides and then dividing both sides by 4 to get:
y = -6x/4 + 24/4
= (-3/2)x + 6
M equals -3/2
The y intercept is when x equals zero. It’s basically asking “when does the function intercept the y axis. When x equals zero, we’ll get a y value in which we pass through. Or you could just remember that b is the y intercept.
b = y-intercept = 6
