In the very first sentence of Sebastian Brandt's letter he mentions that his "brother and . . . Wyfe are dead aboute a year" and does not mention them again. How does this matterof-fact statement help us understand conditions faced by settlers in Virginia in the early

Respuesta :

Brandt did not write about his wife and brother in the letter except at the beginning of the letter to say that they were dead, from this we can deduce that alot of people in JamesTown were dying and this was something very common, we can corroborate this with the amount of settlers that survived in Jamestown
