I mean I would personally say A,

If you can increase the oxygen carrying capacity of your red blood cells, it means you would have to circulate less of them to keep cells alive, respectively this would require less energy and thus, less food to consume. That would be a competitive advantage. All the rest would't be as beneficial as that
