5x + 25y =530 cents
if x =49
5 × 49 = 245 + 25 = 270
if x = 45
5 × 45 = 225 + (25 × 5) = 350
if x = 40
5 × 40 = 200 + (25 × 10) = 450
if x = 36
5 × 36 = 180 + (25 × 14) = 530

There will be 36 nickels and 14 quarters.
